Frontispiece - b/w engraving of Swift. 24 letters written by the Earl of Orrery to his son the Honourable Hamilton Boyle, student of Christchurch College in Oxford during 1751, concerning the writings of Jonathan Swift. Internally very clean and bright. Binding sound and tight. Bound in full brown leather boards with gilt lettering on black spine label. Surface of leather on boards and spine badly scuffed - pieces of leather rubbed away, particularly on spine and back board. Corners and edges of boards rubbed. Contents VG but boards only Good-. |
