All volumes with occasional unobtrusive annotations in margins and underlining of text in blue pen. Vol I - Text mostly clean except for light damp staining at bottom of text at gutter. Binding sound and tight. Vol II - Some light damp staining on prelims and bottom of pages of text but mostly clean. Front hinge cracked. Vol III - Light damp stain on prelims and bottom of pages of text, otherwise clean. Front board seperating from ffep and spine. Notes written neatly in blue pen on rear free ep of all three volumes. All vols - Blue marbled eps. Marbled edges. Internal binding of all three vols sound and tight. Bound in half tan leather with marbled hard paper boards. Four raised bands decorated with gilt and gilt lettering on spine labels. Leather corners scuffed and rubbed. Vol I - piece of about 3 inches missing from top of spine and about 1 inch missing from bottom. Vol II - Edges of spine split along most of length. Vol III - Backstrip detached. Leather scuffed on all three vols. Overall condition Good. Internally VG. Well worth having bindings repaired. |
