Contents: The North Bull Island, The Birds of the Sanctuary, The Topography of the Sanctuary, Sources of Past Records, Lists of the Birds, Status of the Birds, List of Birds - Month by Month, Violation of Sanctuary + Appendix: Classification of the Birds of the Sanctuary. Piece cut from top of ffep - presumably to remove previous owner's name. Text clean. Cream illustrated hard paper boards with beige cloth spine. red and blue lettering on front board and spine. Illustration of shoveller duck on front cover. Overall condition VG. In VG illustrated dust wrapper - some wear to top, bottom and edges of dust wrapper spine. Also newspaper cutting from 'Irish Independent' Dec 23, 1968 - "Christmas Visitors to the Bull Island Sanctuary".
