He was one of the earliest travelllers in Peru whose writings have been preserved. A few spots of foxing on last few pages. Binding tight. Yellow eps. Bound in blue cloth boards of the Hakluyt Society with gilt lettering on spines. Gilt vignette of the sailing ship 'Victoria' on front board. Blindstamp decoration on boards. Boards clean. Spine somewhat darkened. Overall condition VG to VG+.
